Ive Gone Marine

Well I did it I got the rest of my kit today and have set up my marine tank. I did get a Tmc V2 skim 400 but got the pump was like a pond pump the main unit was like a nuclear chimney and then there was a bubble box? So I got my self a Deltec MC300 and im well impressed. I bought 2 maxi-jet 1200 power heads with wave machines to make sure I have no dead spots. I am also running my external with just a bit of biological media and carbon once the LR goes in ill be adding Rowaphos to it. Well here is a few pics of how im getting on, ill post more pics as it clears and ill be adding my LR next Saturday as the man in the fish shop said im am best off leaving the water in the tank to mix the salt for a good 5 days.

very good. i usually feel very jealous of folk with marine tanks and this time is no exception. keep the forum up to date on how you get on in the future

I gave them to maiden head aquatics in st albans for store credit for £90 which bought my first skimmer but took it back and got salt new bulb and hydrometer.

Yeah the store is really good lots of lovely fish they have a very nice think its 8ft could be more tank as you walk into the fish house with a huge aro and 3 rays.

Right well I added my LR today I think its looking good I also put my rowaphos in the filter. One thing though I have loads of fine bubbles in the water which if you turn all the equipment off disapear will these go after time its just cause everything is new

Funny thing on the rock is it a coral or coral shaped rock???

Now this funny rock my wife thinks is shaped like a bear but there is a stick next to it and is hard what that?
