Iv Just Bought A Large Female Swordtail...

is this a good idea.
i noticed when i put her in she was kissing the male but in a rather agresive way.
but then the male done it to her and they were circuling eatchother rubbing sides i started wondering.
is this how they breed or should i be concerned?

shes just new give her time to settle, sounds like the male is happy with his new wife .
has he got other females to mate with? she will calm down and soon you will see fry. all the best donna

tar no she is the only female i have for him.
how long do you think it will be before i have babies

hi,
ok so she is the only one, you really need 2-3 females per male or she will be harrased to the point that she could abort her fry, i know you have platys in your sig, they can breed with swordtails so you can include these in your count up of male to female ratio. then once all is well you should see fry every 4-5 weeks.
