i was hoping these 2 would spawn, but the female parrot ended up killing the male jellybean..

the first time i noticed a little red area on its face

here it is getting worse

an overall of their tank (20g) < too small
this is a day before it died.. you can see how red the spot got.. could see bite marks from the parrot.. ended up getting infected i guess and killing it in about 4 days

this is the shrimp breeding tank 10g.. also has 2 male guppies in it.. the females never last long.. cant find good quality ones around here..
you can see the male, and a female that died few days later

pics 1-24... how u like that?

just a question but with algae that bad y are you still adding fish?

What size tank is your Tilapia Butterkofferi in? It doesnt look very big at all.

EDIT - I'd also like to know why your still adding fish to that tank aswell :/

the tilapia is in a 10g tank.. its a temporary home.. im re arranging all my tanks, so lots of fish are living in 10g tanks temporarily..

im not adding the fish to that tank.. they were just floating in it until i could get more 10g tanks set up..

the 55g full of algae is going to be re done.. im going to remove probably 70% of the water, and all the fish..

ive got a few more tanks to set up so i have more moving around to do..

edit: even if i was adding fish to the algae tank it doesnt matter... the algae isnt bad for fish..

i will get some more pics in a few days when all the tanks have been re done

I see africans and new worlds, and your tank is over stocked by look of all the fish.

if youre going to ignore this advice you should sell your fish. African cichlids need different water conditions. ID sharks get like 5 feet and yet you have like 3. you have WAY too many fish in that tank. and if you have an aglae problem than adding more fish and more waste will NOT help at all. if you have a problem fix it before you add more fish.

africans? i dont have any africans

i have 5 ID sharks, and will be getting rid of them eventually, when they become to large for the tank..

i have about 14 tanks, so all those fish you see arent in the same tank

.. i dont know why, but everyone seems to be going crazy before they ask questions.. maybe ask if i know that ID sharks grow big, or maybe ask if i have africans if ur not sure... all these negative outbursts could be avoided if you ask questions and be sure what youre talking about..

the signature says it all

You also seem to have a lot of deaths of fish. That's a sign of a bad aquarist.

everyone knows who i am.. but way to crack the case dick tracy..

and as for fish deaths.. breeding cichlids isnt always easy.. if you bred aggressive cichlids you might know that, but i guess you dont..

this is probably the most unfriendly forum ive ever been to.. nothing but negativity coming from everyone thats posted in this topic so far..

i feel sorry for the good people on this forum for having to be associated with those of you that feel the need to try to put yourselves above everyone else, and make uninformed degrading comments.

I know that breeding agressive cichlids is hard. But you should have been watching a little better and maybe you wouldn't have lost the jelly bean.

it died overnight.. nothing i can do about that.. i probably should have taken it out when it got the little bite mark on its head, but they are hardy cichlids and i thought it would be fine.. i guess it got infected or something

in picture 11 there is a small blue fish that looks very much like an african cichlid. Show a bigger pic of that fish.

it could be a convict, but it looks to short up and down wise
