I thought I posted this the other day but obviously not, this is what happened on Wednesday when we set our new corner tank up.
Phew what a day, so much for only taking a hour. We started at 12pm and finally sat down knackered at 4.45pm.
It took ages to catch all the fish, those Cardinals are sods to catch. Here's a pic of the fish in the poly box.
Once we did that we emptied the water from the tank and moved everything out of the way for the new tank.
God the tank and unit are heavy my hubby moaned, he did all the lugging about as you can see. We did get it in place though eventually, and even though I say it myself I think it looks great.
We emptied the water we kept back into the tank, it didn't even do quarter of a tank so we set the HMA unit going to fill the rest of the tank up.
We did have to add a few buckets of hot water to get the water warm enough to put the fish back in. We put the external filter and thought we were struggling priming it but when my hubbie turned it on it started working straight away, very impressed. It didn't take long to clear either.
Eventually the tank was filled up, it was up to temp and the external was running okay, its so quiet. So here is the final picture we took without fish, the lights are on here too (we haven't taken any with the fish in yet).
We lost a couple of Cardinals, one was floating in the tank and another was squashed on the floor, I'm not sure what happened with that one.
Hope you like the pics and the commentary of our day.
**Minxfishy what do you think? Thanks for showing me your pics with the background in, I'm really pleased I chose it too**
