About a month ago my female johanni was holding but there are no melanchromis males in the tank so the dad is a lab,afra,long pelvic or a acei ?. Anyway i set up my old tank to put her in until i decided what to do but i forgot to put the inlet strainer on the intake, yep you guessed it within an hour she had gone to the filter and was dead. Now the tank had no gravel or decoration but i thought no more about it until a couple of days ago, I had moved my lab fry to this tank added some substrate from my main tank and then i noticed a dark brown fry i thought i had a sick fry but all my lab fry were accouted for a couple of days later i have four fry.The only thing i can think is that they have come through the filter or the eggs have ?

i guess it is possible mate, although if like you say they are hybrid fry it is sods law that the mum did not make it but the hybrid babies did.. Typical init
