Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this is white spot or some other disease please? I have been treating for white spot for a week and half; this morning i saw like cotton wool flaking off my clown loaches, it seems to be only on my clown loaches now.

that is not ich/whitespot(which are the same parasite). ich appears as if the fish had a sprinkling of salt on the skin. to me that looks fungal or bacterial. i would suggest lowering the temp in the tank a few degrees (at higher temps bacteria and fungus multiply faster than in cooler water). are the fish eating still? any other symptoms?
i would do a large waterchange and lower the temp a few degrees. get an antibiotic med. treat the tank. if that doesnt help, some fungus meds (pimafix works rather well)
best of luck!
cheers

Thank you for your help. Ive just treated again for white spot and done a 50% water change. Temp @ 27oC. I have interpet anti fungus and finrot medication. Do you think i should pull the 2 affected fish out of the tank and put into my 10Litre tank and treat them with this? The only problem is the heater i have for that tank is far too big and the lowest i can get the temperature is 30oC

Cheers

im unsure of the temperature tolerance of the fish in question. i would actually do exactly that tho given your availability to fungal med. by all means, pull them out and treat with that med. see how it goes. if it doesnt work, time for some antibiotics. make sure you increase aeration in the hospital tank (higher temps =less O2 in the water..coupled with meds, even less O2, so make sure you either run an airstone or make sure the filter really disturbs the surface).
best of luck!
