i have a 30 gallon setup its about 62x38.5x45cm 30 gallon tank with plenty of rocks and ornaments on the bottom with cichlids 2 x convicts 2 x re forest jewel 2 x auratus 2 x acei 2 x soulosi 3 x bala sharks 1 x blue guarami (adult full grown) 1 x angel........things seem ok all the species seem to be keeping to themselves they already have a heirachy thing going so tend to stay away from fish that are higher than them on the pecking order its like the bala sharks and clown loaches are exempt from attack and are allowed into they territory's but if the cichlids do they are immediantly chased away is this because they dont see the sharks and loaches as a threat ? (im only fairly new to owning an aquarium) as the fish are still only young im going to upgrade the tank when they're a little bigger

I'm afraid the answer is massively overstocked. Bala sharks reach at least 12 inches for starters, the tank isn't big enough for 1 let alone 3. If your convicts are male and female, they will most likely kill everything in the tank if they breed and the same goes for the Jewels and probably the Auratus. You mention Clown loaches aswell, again they grow far too big for your tank.

There are that many problems, i'm not sure what to suggest that would work if you took some fish back. Probably just the Gourami and the Angel. Sorry this sounds so negative but the potential problems with your stocking are that bad. :/

the pic on my profile should give u a clearer idea of what my tank looks like

In a word- YES!
Way overstocked & with fish that shouldn't be in the same tank due to different water requirements & aggression.
That is a 24"X 15"x18" tank - the only fish you have that should be in that size tank are possibly the Jewels and it is minimum sized for them.
You will need four tanks for these fish -all bigger than your existing one & one needs to be at least three times it's size.
Can you take some fish back to the shop?

BTW it isn't 30 gallons. According to the PFK calculator it holds 96 l./22 gal. (25 US gal.)

taking them back isnt an option at the monent but when they get a little bigger i plan on getting a bigger tank as i am saving for one will they be ok for the time being???? everything is ok at the moment none of them ar fighting everyone tends to stay out of everyones way

Taking fish back is always an option. Don't wait until they get bigger, how are you going to decide when they are 'bigger'? Are you going to wait until the first one dies?
We all make stocking mistakes, how we deal with them make us fishkeepers or fishowners, if you know what I mean.
Take all of the fish back except maybe for the gouramis and the angels.....even the angels are going to outgrow that tank pretty quickly.
At present, your tank is a disaster waiting to happen....

Don't take this the wrong way, ok? Just learn from it....

If all those fish even fit in that tank then It's safe to say they're young. What they do when they are young has nothing to do with how they will act when they mature.
