All my plants came in, but my tank (75 US gal) isn't ready for them yet!! I went out and got a 15 gal (2' x 1' x 1') to put them in for temporary, but the only thing I have to put the tank on is a table 2 inches shorter than the tank is long.

Will having an inch of tank over each side edge of the table put too much stress on the seams and cause it to leak? Thanks.

It shouldnt do anything to your tank because all of the weight of the object is still on the table, now if it were 6 inches of overhang each side then you might have to worry. If your still worried about your tank busting you can get 2 2x4's and cut them to the right length then but them on the table with the tank ontop of them then the 2x4's will support the overhanging tank instead of the tank bottom

Thanks for your input, I really didn't have much choice, so now it's whatever goes ;) , hopefully it won't be more than a day or two.

I would put a piece of plywood the size of the tank bottom under it. Tanks are supported by the edges, having 2 unsupported edges could be a problem.
