Sorry if this is not the right thread to post on but I wasn't sure where to put it...

It’s a 20L rimmed tank. While testing the “stand” I sat on it and my fat ass (85kg) bowed the middle of the table, although it didn’t snap.

I cut a piece of wood to put the tank on. There is a slight gap between the table and the wood (just enough for me to put a credit card under). There’s no gap between the tank and the wood. All 4 corners of both the tank and the wood have no gap.
From my understanding, a rimmed tank only needs to have support on the 4 corners, is this correct? I only have 1 other tank and it's rimless so I'm not entirely sure.

I'm not worried about the table collapsing as it is made of metal, more so I'm worried about uneven stress on the tank that could potentially cause a leak.

Thoughts?

If the gap is under the middle of the tank it should be fine.

If the gap is under a side or corner of the tank, then a 1/2 or 1 inch thick piece of polystyrene foam can be put under the tank.

If the tank in question is the one in the pictures, it looks fine and there shouldn't be any issues.

Thanks Colin :)

The gaps only in the middle. All 4 corners and the "width" of the tank are all making solid contact. :drinks:
