Is This Rooting Normal ?

Hi as a noob to plants I noticed the plants at the rear of my tank rooting up the stem

Is this normal

I recently was confronted with these, I later found out there normal and can be cut off if you want to

yep completely normal.

It's np's as there at the rear and you don't see it, unless you go to the side and look
I was just wondering about it.
