Hi, all

This morning I noticed white spots on my two clown's, both about 2" I have had them 2 months now. Here in Oxford we've had some very unsettled weather and I have heard that this can be a trigger for disease and I know that Clown's are particuarly susceptible to whte spot under these conditions.

So Ihave moved them both to a 10 Gallon hospital tank and upped the temperature to 30 C and added NTLABS ICHCIDE as well as a dose of Stress Coat.

You have to treat the whole tank if you have whitespot. I'd move the clowns back and treat the whole tank. Bump the heat up to at least 80F (if your fish are ok with that) and treat for 3 weeks. I know it's longer than most meds say but the lifecycle of the parasite is that long and in fact the meds only work when the spots disappear and the parasites are free swimming. If possible do small gravel cleans (replacing the meds after) when the spots start to go as you will hoover some of the parasites off the bottom.

Hope this helps
