Is This Ok?

I have a 2.5 gal divided tank. The divider has very small holes, so much that the bettas (Lily and Baxter) can't see each other at all. I have a small heater and filter in the tank. The heater is on Lily's side, the filter on Baxter's side. I wonder if the current will be ok with his tail or if I should move it to her side?
Also, would it filter (Lily's side) better if I used craft canvas since the holes are a bit larger?

I'll post pix when I can... Lily is a royal blue CT and Baxter is a beautiful VT (I think) color mix!

I would probably switch the heater and the filter, females seem to handle current better. You could try using a divider w/larger holes, just make sure you add some plants next to the divider so it breaks up their line of sight.
