2 of my guppies gave birth earlier this week to approx 70/80 fry (yea i was shocked at the amount!). However today i noticed a few fry had died (3/4). Is it normal to lose a few for no apparant reason, perhaps they were just the weak ones, or is there something wrong? x

From what i have read some Guppies after giving birth do die. I am unsure as to the reason but i imagine the birthing can be stressful and i dont think anything you have done could have helped, i think its just nature.

I lost 9 Guppies in the last 24 hrs and they were not even preggers :(

hi i think if u mean fry then yes u can loose some ,some can be still borns i had a guppy lose 1 still born this week it can be caused by stress , or like u said just be weak dont worrie ,well worrie when u loose all of them you will be fine

It is common to lose a few but making sure your water stats are fine and feeding them at least 3-5 times a day can help them survive better..

Thier mortablism is really fast when they are young so they need feeding a lot.

:)

def. common.. some actually end up losing all the fry depending on how they care for them.. 3/4 is not bad at all.. have fun with them when they get older and multiply lol..
