A few weeks ago I bought a new guppy who was already pregnant and she hasn't given birth yet. Suddenly as of yesterday all the males have started to pester her and ignore all the other females. The weirdest thing though that Ive not seen before is my Emperor Tetra is the worst, diplaying his fins and almost glued to her side!! Could she be giving off really strong hormones because she is about to give birth?

how are they pestering her, following, attacking etc, is there any way you could seperate her from them?

They arn't attacking her, just following, darting infront and around her and displaying their fins as if they want to mate with her. I put her in the breeding trap but she freaked out so I put her back in. Ive filled small tank with water from her their tank and have put her in but Im still curious as to why she is suddenly so popular with the boys!

That is actually normal until she gives birth. Things should calm down a bit after. Male guppies can be annoying to the females but hopefully it will calm down after. You wouldn’t think of all fish guppies being a bit aggressive but they are if you have males and female. What you could do is have three females to every male and that helps calm things down. There should always be more females.
