So my betta had a white patchy spot on the side of her head.
I treated the tank for a day with a fungus tablet, but thinking that she needed bacterial instead.. did a large water change and started a treatment of maracyn 1 & 2.
Yesterday her wound looked pink... the actual cut part.
Today however.. it has taken on a white-ish appearance.
Is this normal for a healing wound on a fish?

Here are a couple of pics....

Just carry on with the meds sometimes it can take two rounds if it a really bad strain, sounds like it healing but never know with fish.

Yeah which totally sucks...

That spot looks the same today, however it looks like she has 2 tiny little white spots further down her body. Not ich b/c they're raised like her injury is.
I'm continuing with treatment and hoping for the best I guess.

Not aounding good then, is it possible to move onto tetracycline if she in issolation.

Alrighty.. those 2 tiny spots are gone. Think I was just being too paranoid.
White spot is same... tank is UBER cloudy though for some reason. Does maracyn 1 & 2 combined do that?
I remember treating my other tanks with maracyn 2 and they never got cloudy like this.
It's not just any sort of cloudyness though... you can actually see it moving like smoke.
Just imagine smoke, but it's underwater and that's what this looks like.

Yes it normal there a thread on it will find it, is there plenty of aeration.

Can't find it now lol.
Do a search on does maracyn make tank water cloudy.
good luck.

Ah ok. Thanks for posting the link Wilder.
I figured it was the medication, but was getting a bit worried since I could actually see the cloudiness moving heh.
