Is This Normal For An Algae Eater?

I lifted up my two toys and plants, and I found this underneath:

It seemed a little odd.
 
I'm pretty sure that's just dirt and poo from the fish in your tank

it usually settles underneath decorations or plants as the water is stale there...
 
Well, whenever I see him there is a long strand of poo. And under that one ornament is where he hangs out.
 
It's most likely caused by all of the fish in the tank. Every few water changes I move around ornaments to discover deposits like that-- and I don't have any algae eaters. :P

As for the long strands of feces, usually it's the same strand that eventually falls off, the fish don't continuously defecate like that.
 
Maybe he is like a cat, and that is his litter box :lol: just kidding. Yeah, my tank gets like that and I always find some whenever i clean it. :D
