rainbow eartheater?? I was just wondering because my fish store has some and i never heard of them. And no i am not going to get one.

Looks very similar to one or two gymnogeophagus (geophagus means eartheater) on this page. Seem to be quite uncommon in the hobby, and theres not alot of information about them:

stunning fish but please tell me youre not thinking about adding 1 to either of the tanks in your profile. you have a 30g with sev and acara and t-bar cichlid already grossly overstocked and a 15g with a gold sev which is not just overstocked it cruel.

Here is a bit of info where that pic is from gymnogeophagus

From what I know about them they dont grow large, only about 4" but they need a period of about 3 months with lower temps, around 65 degrees or lower. Other than that they can be treated like geophagus

Not dissing that site but it says you need a 150cm aquarium for the 6" fish seems a bit out. Nice looking fish though, you tend not to see the colouring until they age a little.
