today, i found 3 fishes with wat seemed like ich, 2 of them are more obvious, as in there are many white spots on their tails and fins, so i quarantined them in another tank and put some medication, while i do not know if the other fish has ich, it has one, only one white spot on its tail so im not really sure, there used to be a case of ich in my tank about 3 weeks ago but i think i managed to cure it as there hasnt been any more cases so far untill now..the 3 fishes that i suspect are 2 swordtails and one platy

You will need to treat the whole tank if you have ich again unfortunately. Are the fish flicking and rubbing? Sometimes after an ich outbreak seems to have gone, some of the parasites remain in the water and reinfect the fish. Slowly raise the temp in the tank to 80 as the parasites cant live in warm water, treat with meds as per the instructions for whichever med you are using. Also increase aeration into the tank either via an airstone or by filter output to break the surface of the water as the fish will need more oxygen with higher temperature.

When fish have whitespot you have to treat the whole tank, you have now spreaded it to another tank.
Only raise temp when you have added the med.
Increase aeration as the high temp and med reduce 02 in the water.
Remove black carbon from the filter if you use it.
Read instructiions carefully that you can use full dose with the fish you keep.
Best to treat another week once spots have gone.

well as the others said raise the temp, i've heard that you do this because the parasite detaches from the fish at a higher temp as it can survive on its own, as it has enough heat. this is when you add the meds to kill the parasites

may be wrong thats just what ive heard

Only increase temperature after you have started treating with a protozoan treatment. The higher temps speed up the lifecycle of the parasite, which means the parasites reproduce faster. Without treatment, the fish will suffer from a higher infestation of the parasite and will be even more likely to die as a result.
