Recently I got some new fish and didn't quarantine, (I know. I'm an idiot) and now my fish, old and new, are dropping like flies. I've noticed white spots on some of my remaining fish, and some white and almost tentacle like pieces sticking out of the gills of dead fish. Some of my fish are also really bloated to the point where it's obviously not healthy and really disturbing to look at

Is this ich?
Whether it is or not, how do I treat it? (And fast, because my fish are dying by the day)

I have a 29 gallon tank with water changes at least every 3 weeks. I have a sachem 30 gallon hob filter (its actually meant for a 30 gallon saltwater tank) and I don't test my tank water so I don't know the other perameters

I currently have an angelfish, 3 zebra danios, two glowfish danios (one yellow and one pink) two neon tetras, one spotted pleco, and there used to be some catfish (I don't remember the breed but they were less than 1 inch) but I think they're all dead.

The fish are covered in excess mucous caused by something in the water that is stressing them out.

The only fish that looks like it has white spot is the cherry barb that has what looks like a couple of small white dots behind the head, (1 above and 1 below the yellow line).

How long has the tank been set up for?
How often are you feeding the fish?
How often do you do water changes and how much water do you changes?
Do you gravel clean the substrate when you do a water change?
How often do you clean the filter and how do you clean it?

What is the water temperature?

----------------------------
Right now I would do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week or until we work out what is going on. Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine.

If the tank has been running for more than 2 months, then clean the filter if it hasn't been done in the last 2 weeks. Wash filter materials in a bucket of tank water.

Reduce feeding to 2-3 times per week.

Post a clear picture of the cherry barb so I can identify the white marks/ dots on it. A short 20 second video can also show something.

The following link has some information about what to do if your fish get sick. It's pretty long and boring but worth knowing. I recommend printing it out and reading it in bed to help fall asleep.
