hi im am just wondering i have a 2 foot tank details in signature and i feed my fish twice a day in the morning i give them a pinch of flakes and at night i give one frozen bloodworm capsual is that alright?

Well you might be a little overstocked, but I think your feeding is probably fine. My fish got spoiled with the bloodorms and have learned to wait for those and hardly eat the flakes anymore. I would cut the cube in half and put it in different parts of the tank, it allows some of the more docile fish a chance at the action. Make sure they eat the whole thing too or you'll have a messy tank and it will affect your water quality.

thanks for such a quick response and for the advice i always watch my fish wen feeding them and so if they dont eat any i always take it out

Good Job, overfeeding is a huge cause of bad water quality. I'm concerned about that stocking level in your tank especially since the barb will get really nippy when he's alone. When in groups they tend to pick on each other instead of other fish, like your platties. Your rainbow will get up to 6'' which is way too big for a big swimmer like him. The Angel will also get big and need a tall tank. Ideally you would want to get a 55gal for the shark and the angel

well the shark is going bak to my lfs this weekend and the angel is tiny its about 2 to 3 cm high and about 3 cm long and the tiger barb has recently been bullied so he wnet in to a different tank for a couple of days but he is fine now and bak in the main tank . wat do u mean like your platies

that's good, the angel will get bigger but should be fine as long as you keep up with water changes... I just meant that the tiger barbs generally are a semi agressive fish and will be mean and nip at other fish when not put together with other barbs. So I just meant that he might pick on the platies since they are more of a peaceful fish. The hospital/quarantine tank is great to have especially for times like that when a fish is bullied.

the hospital tank at the moment is a 2 gallon tank witha air stone. wat is the minimum size tank i could get for 6 tiger babres just by them self .(im on a tight budget being a kid)

I definately hear you on the money thing as Im a college student living paycheck to paycheck. I would get a 20 gallon personally since their isnt really a good size from 10-20 and a 10 would be too small. You could keep 4 in a 10 gallon though and probably be fine. Those barbs are just so active that I would give them the extra space....

I have a 1.5 gallon mini tank thats free at the moment with a 10 gallon hospital tank and a 5 gallon rubbermaid plastic tote that I have around just in case I have a batch of fry and a sick fish at the same time.

do u know how much 10 gallons is in litres as im tight on space and still am setting up my 2 foot as it does not have a lit or heater yet and if i did get a 10 gaallon would u be able to put anyother fish in it and do emerald barbs have to be in a group

Tiger barbs should be in groups. They cant be with the angel because they nip the fin of the angel and kill them. How long had u have ur tank?
