i was just speaking to my cousin in new york and she told me this latin name and that they are beautiful fish
So i did a search and they are beautiful
She has them in a huge tank in her office with various minnows and tetras .

So i was just wondering if they are available over here and if anyone has ever kept them in home tanks - she has a man to do all her tank maintenance and keep it stock and all the fish happy .
Any info would be great . I dont think i'll settle on what i want in my tank if i keep talking to people and comming on here lmfao ;)

Thanks Sarah

Yeah i've had them before, lovely little fish although a bit delicate so nice stable mature tank, no boisterous tankmates and you should be fine.

also they're teeny tiny so careful not to put anything big enough to eat them in the tank!!

not going to be anything big at all in the tank kids have decided all little ones though i do have the chance to steer them towards certain ones lol
do you think they'd be ok with minnows , neons and guppys ?

yeah i think they would, I would suggest they;d do better in a large group as well, small delicate fish often feel a bit more secure in a bigger group. :good:

thanks for the reply missw
lmao goodness knows what fish i will end up with in the tank but all these ideas are ruining my plans
i have a pad beside me here and so many species are crossed out and got little notes next to them for the amount of species i like i need a new house not just a new tank

mmmm i wonder wether the council will rehouse me so i can get a bigger tank

give it a try, you just never know!

Boy, you have great taste in fish.
Those are high in my top 100 or so desperately wanted fish.

aye more availability than price i would suggest, when i got them before they were cheap, comparable to any other rasbora/tetra etc. But I've only ever seen them for sale that one time so just be a case of tracking them down i think.

Franksaquraium.com has them in right now

anubiasdesign.com (you will have to join the yahoo group) He should be getting them this October from Indonesia, but it really depends on the demand. He won't order if their isn't enough interest in the fish, or in the list in general. He posts the lists he gets from the exporters, tell him what you want and if enough people want it he will import the fish. He has some really cool Poecilocharax weitzmani in right now.

All these fish are going to be quite young, I'm guessing less than or about and inch.

I'm hoping to have a group of these guys by the end of the month :)

-I just relized you are in the UK, so I guess those don't work for you :/ .
