first off apologies, I may have posted this in the wrong place a while ago...I think I will post here. Hoping for some help.

I've had a major Ick infestation tha wiped out just over 1/2 my fish.

I've added the Victoria Green Ick medication and I treated the tank for 8 days. Then I stopped with the medication and thought all was well. About 2 days latter I saw the water go cloudy again and soon after white spots hit the fish again. I then put all fish into a first aid tank (newly bought...yes I know I should have had one earlier :( ) . The fish now appear fine in the first aid tank and I am obsessively cleaning out the original tank.

I have emptied all water, rinsed and scrubbed the tank and let hot shower water run over the tank for about 15 minutes
I have soaked all plastic plants, gravel and rocks in a very high salt solution which was origianlly boiling water for about a day now.
I am very concerned about the gravel. Does anyone know if boiling water will kill the eggs stage??? I cannot imagine anything surviving boiling water but would like to know before I get my tank going again and starting the process of maturing the enviromnent before reintroducing the fish. I have rinsed the gravel, boiled the heck out of it and it looks clean...but these parasites are small.
I was planning to keep the fish in the first aid tank for about 7 more days to make sure all is well.

My basic question is how can I ensure the Ick is not coming back as soon as I put the fish back.

Any help would be great. Thank you

Have you touched the sponges in your filter or you will have to cycle the tank again.
Never heard of that med.
Whitespot, turn temp up to 30, increase aeration in the tank as the high temp and med reduce 02 in the water.
Read med instructions to see if you can use the full dose as some scaless fish you have to half dose.
Never stop the med when the fish still have whitepot it the worst thing you can do.
The whitespot could be in the filter, so you need to still retreat the tank again.
