Is This Any Good?

Having discovered that you can go through a bottle of tapsafe pretty quickly I stumbled across this monster of a bottle online very cheap (for the size) http

If you're using dechlorinator quickly Seachem Prime is the way to go. One capful treats 50 gallons.

I prefer this product. One drop per gallon does the trick. It's a basic declorinator/chloramine remover and does not contain any questionable products like aloe, etc.

One is as good as another if all you are doing is making the water safe. I use the cheap bulk house brand stuff and it works fine. Some of the fancier products remove ammonia too, which should not be necessary in a healthy tank. Some claim to help regrow slime coat, but healthy fish can do that on their own.

Thank God Al was here. I was worried this thread was going to go too far without someone singing the praises of Prime. It's so much more concentrated and better value than any other dechlorinator out there. Once you start using Prime, you never go back!

I went through a £10 and a £5 bottle of Tetra brand dechlor during my 69 day cycle. After the cycle I started using Prime. I spent around £15 on a 500ml bottle of Prime (this was back in November) and I still have the majority of it left, even with major overdosing.
