I currently have a 15G (UK) Tank with the following layout.
A cave made out of various rocks, (slate, quartz). Various silk plants, java fern, aquarium sand, natural ferns, cave ornament, 50W heater at 26*c. an airstone at one side of the tank, and a small filter at the otherside (getting a fluval 2 off my brother in a few days).
The following fish I have are;
2x Albino Corys.
4x Neon Tetras.
2x Black Moores.
Two of my neons died previously, my fighter died yesterday, a cory died today.
Is there anything wrong with that tank?
I'm sure it has been cycled, but unfortunately I have no test kits, but if it wasn't cycled all of them wouldn't of lived in it for so long (2 weeks), I used a mature filter and mature sand (if theres such thing) also other items out of other tanks.

Thanks in advance,
Neal

Note: At the minute my fish seem to be happy, but just to be sure i'm checking.

You really need to get a test kit, because people usually don't see symptoms in their fish of ammonia and nitrite spikes until too late.

must agree here. $20-30 on a test kit will sure save having to replace alot more in fish

first of all, black moors are goldfish, which means they're cold water. They really shouldn't be in a tropical tank! How long was your tank cycling before you added the fish? did you add the fish all at once or over time? And you really do need to get a test kit!!

That tank isn't big enough for two black moors, you need a 40gal for them two alone.

Dudes, I had them two black moores in a 4G, I only have space for a 15G so I put them in there. Also, they tank hadn't been cycling but I used my old filter, heater, ornaments and it had some used sand in it too. I'm going to buy a test kit next time I go to the pet shop. :) I added all the fish at once because I had nowhere to put them and I bought them all on 1 day at a fish auction so as you can imagine, a kid sees good deals and buys them without thinking. Doh!

Thanks,
Neal
