Is This Alright

I have a 4ft by 18" by 18" which is currenty stocked with cichlids.

I am going to plant it up and quite like the fish in the list below. Could you please tell me if it is alright.

A pair of discus- only if I can get to grips with how to look after them
12 cardinal tetras
1 plec ( not yet decide what type, would love a common but too big)

Question has kind of been answered. I think that discus are not really going to work.

Hey, i have 2 Wild green discus and their great.
a 4ft by 18 by 18 is like 55gallons right? i would say that is fine
seeing that i have my 2 in a 75gallon with 40 neons and 10 corys
Discus arent as hard to take care of as everyone thinks you just need to keep up with water changes
and have a well balenced diet with the Ph at least under 7 that stays consent.

I really wanted more and I won't be able to get hold of a adult pair so it is no go.

I will need to find something else but to tell you the truth I don't really want anything else.
