I was thinking of order this light for my 29 gallon and check to see would this be good for a densly planted tank with ferts and C02.

Thanx for the help

I'd say that that lighting would work out great, I think I might by me one of those :)

I would say negative to that. According to that website it says it comes with a free 50/50 65w light. 50/50 is for marine tanks. You need a 6700k 65w bulb. I don't even see it on that link, prehaps they carry the same ballast with a 6700k bulb.

In addition to that the whole thing looks el-cheapo to me. I would spill some beans and purchase a name brand unit like a Coralife. I did the liberty of searching a deal for you. Bigalsonline is having a free shipping promo for orders over 50$ until Jan 2nd. They have the Coralife 6700k 65w for $57.99 shipped via UPS Ground. The unit your looking at is $30 plus $13 shipping. I would say a difference of $15 is worth it to get a name brand from a reputable company. Plus if you ever decide to sell/auction your fish stuff back, I think that Coralife brand would get more interest.

Also if you want legs for it, they are around $8 extra.

Cheers.
