I've recently decided to take up aquariums again. It's been about two years sense my last sucessful tank, which I sold to a friend after moving. I've decided to start another aquarium. I'm planning on purchasing a 10 gallon tank within the next few days and I've started thinking about what kinds of fish I'd like to put in there once everything is good and cycled. Here's what I've been thinking.
1 Dwarf Gourami (male) - I really love these fish. I think they're gorgeous and quite hardy.
4 Fancy Guppies (probably male) - I'd only keep one gender, most likely male. I just can't take care of any fry.
2 Killifish (same gender) - I'm not sure about these. People have told me they wouldn't be good for the community I want, but I think they're really pretty. I read they only get to be two inches. Someone said I shouldn't purchase them because the get up to five. These aren't a must, I just would like to hear more opinions.
I'd like to have one more type of fish in there, but I'm not sure which kind would get along with the rest. I was thinking some kind of tetra, but I don't want to have to make room for a big school of them and have to have less of other fish, like my guppies. Please let me know what you think.
