Is There Anything Wrong With This Neon Tetra?

Hi all,


Do you think there is something wrong with this tetra or is it just more fat than usual?

I also should note that the shape of her body is a bit twisted.

I recently found two fry in the tank. However I cannot identify whether they';ve come from the Guppy or the tetra's.

I believe it should be from the guppy's.

as long as its fins are up it's happy, anyway. It looks fat and contented with itself!

Could the guppy have bread with the tetra by any chance?

Breeding Neon Tetra's by accident is almost impossible while breeding guppys by accident is the norm. Concerning the tetra, its hard to say whether she's egg laden or bloated. Bloating can be a sign of Dropsy or Constipation. When you say her body is twisted, does the spine look bent to the side from above? Is the Neon's scales sticking out at all?

this is not allways the case blubbie boy
but its a good sign.

dropsy is telled by abdomen swelling but not allways the case.
