Is There Anything Else I Can Do For My Fish?

Hello all,
On Sunday right before my weekly waterchange I noticed my guppy's tail was a little damaged and I immediately thought of fin rot since several months ago I lost my female guppy to it. I started treatment right away with T.C. Capsules (Aquarium Pharmaceuticals). The thing is 4 days have gone by, I have followed the instructions carefully, I performed a 20% waterchange before adding the third dose, but his tail doesn't show much of an improvement. In fact I see lees and lees of his tail by the day and it makes me incredibly sad and frustrated. With the waterchange I added 2 spoonfuls of salt. He's feeding OK, but his swimming has changed a bit. Now when he swims it's like he's shaking his whole body or something but remains in the same spot most of hte time.
Is there anything else I can do? I hate to see my beautiful guppy rotting away like this.

I can think of two big things... The first is are you sure there are no possible bullies in the tank who could be nipping the tail? My second recomendation is to try a different antibiotic. T. C. is what? Tetracycline? Possibly try kanacyn (aka kanamycin, k-mycin), i've had alot of luck wiht that. Another possible switch is to try eythromycin (E. C. Capsles, Maracyn) as they are useful for a different set of bacteria.

Thank you for the reply. Nope, no bullies in the tank. My 3 tetras only bother each other, they have never messed with other species, and they normally dwell in the bottom half of the tank while the guppy is almost always on the upper half anyway, and the female plattys don't seem to mind him at all either (eventhough he has tried to "have his way" with them in the past, hee)
It's kinda late now but tomorrow morning I'll look into a different antibiotic, I just hope he makes it through the night!
