Awhile back I posted about a lyretail mollie of mine who I believed to have Hole in the head disease (he had pin holes in his head). I treated for that but he didn't get any better and started having seizures and I ended up euthanizing him

It's been about a month since I euthanized him and now I seem to be having a similar problem. My 5 month old female swordtail has a whitish/clear pacth on her right side extending a little over her eye...now I just noticed that her fins are clamping and she is having little shaking fits :-( I've treated for fungus twice now...but she isn't getting any better.

I can't figure out what is going on. I have been quite crowded in that tank of late due to a high amount of fry being born. I've bought another tank now and moved 6 guppies from it to the new tank. I wonder if my problems are because of it being overcrowded?

The only referance i can find to shaking is
Internal organ disease, i.e. kidney or heart disease or blockage. Usually only established at post mortem.
Sorry but there is no cure for this.

Hmmm ok..well I am thinking the problems my swordtail is having is due to high ammonia because of all the new fry. I just carried out 2 water changes. I used my gravel vac and there was so much poo in the bucket!! Now since the new fry have come I am doing about 2-3 water changes a week because there is just so much waste being produced! I think things will get better though as I've now moved 6 guppies out as well as my bristlenose pleco out.

I think I am going to have to get a small tank just for fry...because they seem to be unbalancing the tank :/
