please just something that will clean the algae in my brackish water aquarium that wont get bigger that 5 inches...!!!!!!!! thanks peeps

i've found out that one of the best algae eaters is elbow grease, especially in requirements like that.

There aren't really any small algae eating fish to keep in brackish tanks. Malaysian trumpet snails and nerite snails can survive in brackish water if accilmated properly, as can ghost shrimp but if you've got any puffers in there they're more likely to get eaten than clean algae. Keep in mind that if you keep snails in your tank and nothing eats them, they'll reproduce like crazy and will increase your bioload.

If you're getting a lot of algae in your tank, reduce lighting and make sure that your tank isn't overstocked or overfed. For the bit that grows anyways, a sponge and a bit of scrubbing is the best way to get rid ot it. Since it actually helps clean up the water a bit, I like to leave it on all surfaces but the front glass.
