hi guys

So my platy was pregnant when I got her, and its been two days and she's dropped four fry. Is this normal or is she put under too much stress?

Her four babies are fine, in an old spare betta tank with a lamp shining down on the water. I've bought some powdered staple food for them, and i've let a small fake plant float around.

Fry are fine, now I'm more concerned about her.

(when/if she has more fry and they get bigger, I have an old gecko tank outside i'll use when they get older)

Hey guys.

I just bought three new fish today, two platys and one balloon molly, and some salt. The molly and the new hifin are swimming around eagerly with my other fish (three platys), but the orange platy I got today isn't moving around a lot. She hides behind my plants, and sometimes in the little alcove in my rock shelter. The other fish try chase her and get her to move around, but they gave up. I already tested the water levels, all of which were normal. She doesn't eat food when I drop it in the tank either, so as a last resort I'm coming to you guys for help.

Please help! Shes maybe two days or less away from dropping.
Prob just stressed after her move.... give her time and she'll come round. best thing to do is not to force new fish to mingle.let them be and leave the lights off if you can. this can also be behavoiur that she is about to give birth to her fry. let her settle in and u'll prob see a big difference in the morning once she is used to her new surroundings.

she has dropped two fry so far, and now shes acting exactly how she did yesterday. ive smushed the plants so its really dense and she has a place to hide. two of the fry are in an old, spare betta tank
