The first couple days I was here tons of people were on all the time now not so much
P.S. I'm not sure what the gravid spot really is so what am I looking at?
The gravid spot is the dark patch above her anus, and behind her belly. You usually cant really see it on deep red platies such as yours, but I will tell you what it is anyway. It darkens as she gets further into the pregnancy. When she is almost in labour, thhe gravid spot will turn almost black, although some people would argue that this is not a reliable indicator of when she will be ready. I think the best indicator is the squaring off, as I have mentioned in some of your other platy posts. When she nears birth, you can sometimes even see little black spots inside the gravid spot (the fry's eyes) But this is usually only in white/light coloured platies.
(I know this one is a guppy, but its the same principal)http

Also, when she is ready, she will have squared off like this:

And here is a brilliant picture of a light coloured platy with a torch on her gravid spot, those spots are the eyes.

As for the temperature of the fry tank, I just have it the same as my main tank. Whatever temperature the mother is at now, Just make the fry tank that temp.
Hope I helped, and good luck!!
