Is She Ok?

i believe my guppy is pregnant, she is very fat and breathing kinda hard. now she likes to just chill at the bottom of the tank... is that ok or is she sick?

yay! i got a closer look at her today, since i put her in the breeding box and it seems to me like she may be having contractions. it just scares me because she is laying on her side hopefully she'll be ok!

Do a small water change of about 20% with dechlorinator, it will help encourage her to give birth and will make it easier if everything in the tank is in top notch condition- turning off the tank lights or adding a peice of plant to the breeding box will also help lower stress levels .

well i did the water change like you said and now there is a bubble-like thing coming out... it looks odd, is that supposed to happen? lol it doesn't look like a baby at all! i tried to take a picture, but it wouldn't come out very well.

is it coming out of the right place? if it is then it might be fry.

here i took a pic of it, it's the orangish colored thing under her fin..

ok it was a baby i think it was the yolk sack i saw... it came out while i was posting haha... i'll try and post a picture for you!

well so far she's had 2 and they have both died, first one was still born and 2nd one was swimming for awhile but it's dead now... i hope the others make it!!! what's the survival rate on these things?

Iv always been told its normally 50/50 with all live bearers unless you purposly make the breeding of them a hobby.
