two of my newbies from bettaboys arrived with quite big bellys. In their pictures their bellys were big too. I'm thinking they are egg bound. What should I do?

Here's some pics of one of them:

It looks like you have just fed them.......... as stated in your previous post

Why not be patient and wait for someone to answer your original post. :good: :good: :good: :good: :good:

Because I'm never patient lol plus I thought some of my Betta friends could help. No the two that are big were like that when I got them. That one got a little bigger after feeding but she's been like that since she arrived,

mine looked like that when she was egg bound. the solutions that were offered where to either breed her or starve her in the hope she would use up the eggs as nutrients. im no expert but the whitening at the back of the stomach is identicle to how mine looked. as if there about to burst.

Shane does keep his bettas well fed on good quaility food so it is possible she could be egg bound. With her being in a community though its impossible to see exactly how much food they get, you have a pleco right? maybe she has been eating his food too, my do it all the time and end up huge

Yeah and I had just popped hus wafer in and they were eating it. I'll have to be more careful with what those two are eating.

She may be eggbound. Or if she fattens up that much you may be overfeeding her by a lootttt. I always feed my fish frequently each day, but have very small amounts each time because overfeeding an organism usually does more harm than underfeeding yah know
