Should be, but a lot of variables involved. Area it is being collected in: if it is industrial area, rain may pick up contaminants from air as it falls to ground. Also, manner in which it is collected. Easiest way is from a roof or guttering ,but what type material is the roof and/or guttering? Some roofs have copper added to the asphalt to inhibit algae growth, not good for inverts, some fish. As with anything in this hobby, do your research first.

i have been told countless times that rainwater is one of the best sources of aged water for bettas. it is used extensively in places like thailand. i have never used it, yet but seeing as vancouver gets a lot of rainfall and the pollution factor here isn't that great it's something i will consider ;)

like fishdudein said yes and no it all depends on where it is collected from i mean i don't evan trust my tap water cos of all the pestacides that r used in my area. the best source is RO you should be able to get it from ur lfs.
