We got our 15 year old son a Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami, Gerald, for Christmas. Since then, he seems to have plumped up quite a bit. He is social and active, including his nightly case of the zoomies. :) my son feeds him so I am not sure how m.j uch he is getting, but water tested great both at home and our local specialty fish store. The first picture is him when we got him while the others are him now. He is hard to get photos of, little bugger! He also appears bigger at times depending on the angle.

if the fish is still eating then its fat and nothing to worry about.

if the fish stops eating and gets fat overnight, then it has an internal bacterial infection and will be dead within 24-48 hours.

Oh, he is a pig! Lol! We decided to do a 24 hr fast at the suggestion of the aquarium specialist and he thinks he's starving! It's only 2 hrs past feeding time :p
