Not sure if my Danio is sick or not. About 10 days ago, I saw this Danio laying down by the cave in my tank. I thought he was dead but his fins were moving so I immediately took him out and put him into my q-tank. He looked a little bent and when he tried to swim, swam on his side so I thought maybe it was a parasite. It could have also been he somehow got trapped under the cave a little bit and that was problem since the bottom wasn't pushed all the way down tot he gravel. Didn't realize it when I cleaned the tank I guess. He was also just laying on his side when I put him into the new tank and wasn't swimming much. So anyway's, I started treating him with Maracyn-Two for dropsy, popeye, septicemia, fin and tail rot, and gill disease.

A few days after starting treatment, he looked better and now he is swimming around and has been for the past week or so. I'm still treating though since it says to do so 5 days after symptoms subside. It looks like sometimes while swimming though he might go on his side a little bit (not much though) but it would just be because he stops swimming then starts again. I included a video just so you can see (Hopefully it shows enough). You may have to click the 'view in high quality' button to see it better.

My main question is should I go ahead and put him back into the main tank in a few days? He seems a lot better but don't wanna do it if he's still sick.

Thoughts?

Danio spines can bend in old age. So how old is he?
Swimming on there sides can be swim bladder to internal parasites.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.
Check his anus to see if its enlarged or red and inflamed.
Does he look bloated or thin.
What do you feed your fish.
The link not working so does he still have a curved spine.

Hey wilder thanks for responding again! I don't think he's that old, probably about 1 year or so. I haven't seen him go to the bathroom lately so not sure and how would I check his anus, actually take him out of the tank and hold him to see?

He doesn't look bloated or thin and his spine is not curved anymore. I feed them fish flakes, sometimes peas, and freeze dried brine shrimp. The link works for me.....

Feed a variety of frozen foods and veg.
Try some peas.

Just started feeding them frozen food last night... I also gave them a pea but everytime I do, it sinks to the bottom really fast. I see them picking at it sometimes but not a lot. Any recommendations on how to feed them peas or just keep doing what I am and that's dropping it in the tank and having them nibble at it. Also, when I feed them peas should I feed them flakes or frozen food with it? or the nights I give them peas, just feed them that?

Also what kind of veggies? I tried a cucumber but they didn't even look at it.

Boil frozen peas for a few minutes. Let cool down and pop out of shell. Mush into small peices and add to the tank.
I would soak the cucumba in boiling water for a few minutes to soften it.
Green veg like, savoy cabbage, cucumba, sproats, lettuce, peas, spinach, broc.
