once i have sold my breeding convicts and their fry i wanted to know if my 25gal tank would be suitable for a malawi set up

thanks foley

It's around half the size you need for most Africans unfortunately, certainly too small for Mbuna. The only viable options would be some shelldwellers from Lake Tanganyika or a pair of Kribensis. :good:

Mbuna really require a 4 foot 55 gal tank as a minimum and Haps require something larger again.

ah ok i thought i might be a bit too small was worth asking might go for a couple of small americans then

what species is there of shell dwellers as i am not too clued up on africans i have spent all my time researching americans

I vote Kribensis!!!! ( hmm, i wonder why!)

If you do look into them, look into:

Pelvicachromis Taeniatus
Pelvicachromis Pulcher
Pelvicachromis Taeniatus " Moliwe"
Pelvicachromis Taeniatus " Nigerian Red"

All beautiful fish.
