my platty has a big round under belly and looks like its pregnat but it hasnt spawned and it has been like this for 3 months

i agree 3 months is a long time, the fish maybe has digestive problems. i am no expert on these things tho.

She could be pregant. Is she definately female, and do you have any pictures? It may be you are simply missing the births, they should occur every 28-30 days. Sperm can be stored and used for upto 8 pregnancies.

Can you see a dark gravid spot near her anal fin? These are all the questions that need to be answered - a picture would be very useful.
