Yes! Her bottom of tummy will square if or flatten out as she gets close.

What should I do with her, I’m new at this so I don’t know what I’m supposed to do to help her with the pregnancy and stuff, should I put her in a separate tank what should I do

If you move her you may stress her, it you have a fry net I would put the fry in that after they are born and make sure you feed the fish well so they will be less likely to eat the fry. Try and have hiding places for the fry and some floating plants can help if you are going to leave them in the tank

Do you want to keep the fry? If so, I would move her to another and when she’s squared off. This is usually a day or two before due date. Be sure nursery tank is cycled. You can go ahead and set it up and add some of your existing gravel to help “seed” it. You can also add some of your filter media. Are you aware of the nitrogen cycle and did you cycle your exisiting ankle? After cycling, then just wait. If she squares off or begins to hide, then move her over. Add a plant or 2 for the fry to hide in so she doesn’t eat them. Also some ricks as caves. Then when she’s through delivering you can move her back. Get some Hikari First Bites to feed the fry.

I see Retired Viking answered too. Do whichever you feel comfortable with. It’s just hard sometimes to catch the fry but better on mom. :)

don’t have a fry net and I also don’t have a lot of plants because I’m saving to get a lot of plants and hiding spots so I’m scared the other fish will eat them since they don’t have a place to hide

Thank you so much I think I’m going to keep the fry, so if she starts hiding I should move her? And I’m not completely sure what this cycle is and for how Long I should let it cycle and okay so how will I know she is completely done giving birth, and when should I remove the fry to the community tank like after how long

Hi this morning when I woke up se seems thiner so does that mean she already gave birth or what because I’m not sure what’s going on now
