Is My Opaline Gourami Is Possible Pregnant Or Ill

my opaline gourami has been acting very strange lately and is always sitting on the bottom of my tank it has slight bulging of the stomach i really dont no as im rather new to the fish world please help me

Have you got any picture?

Gourami are top-level fish so probably ill rather than pregnant. Any spots/damage/growth/signs apart of bulging of stomach? Water parameter? Tank mates? How old the tank and fish is? Etc?

it has died i dont no y it has happened i thought maybee ammonia poisening but my ph or amonia was 0.50 is that ok ?

It's rather high. I would do at least 50% water change asap, which would bring it down to 0.25, which is still high. Do a 75% water change it'll go down to 0.125 which is probably a bit better. Did you put too many fish in recently? What did you do to your tank recently?

No I Havant added any fish recently but will do a 75% water change today

Still need to find out why the ammonia spiked. Unlikely to be the gourami as it's only just died. Shouldn't decompose and release ammonia that quickly I think.

If it was ammonia, wouldn't it be gasping at the surface instead?
That plus the big belly tell me that something else killed it.
