Well Its just I bought a Molly from a pets store a day ago, and the lady there said that it's quite pregnant
so i should be prepared. :hyper:

Well the problem is the molly i bought was in a same tank with a
balloon molly (no clue what gender it is) so I was wondering if she made a mistake.

Here Are Some Pictures If Needed (Sorry, I really suck at picture taking  )

Thanks in Advance.

P.S It always seemed to be sitting on the gravel.....Is it sick... Sorry for all the nub questions, I'm a complete novice to mollies.

I can't really tell from the pics if she is pregnant (though it is likely if she was in a mixed tank) but she definitely looks unwell. Have you tested your water? Did you get the Neons yesterday as well? They look great...if they've been in the tank for some time then I would guess that the Molly was sick when you got her. I would still test your water though...

Thanks for the reply.

Actually I got My Neons A LONG Time Ago.

And While i was typing i looked behind and my molly was swimming.... though right now she's down on the gravel and
is breathing hard and i wanted to ask you is this a sign of sickness or pregnancy.

And My neons and black skirt tetras aren't sick.

Oh i did add some aquarium salt 'cus the lady at the store said i should.

The fish looks sick to me. If it is sitting on the gravel and breathing hard then there is something wrong.

Please check your water. Do a water change and isolate the fish if possible.

Argh. Not Another One... :( Whenever I try to introduce new fish, I fail and the fish dies.........

Oh well...

Anyways Thanks for the replies.

i have a few of these types of mollies they are wonderfull. she does look a little pregnant but not too far along there is ways to go still. yes test your waters and look for any physical signs of illness on her body. if you gointo the emergency forum you can post your pics there too and read a few stickies to help you. i believe clamped fins are due to bad water if i read wrong.

In the pic taken from above, she doesn't look terribly pregnant if at all. She wouldn't be laying at the bottom like that unless she was about to give birth, and then her fins wouldn't likely be clamped (held close to the body) like they are. Are there any other symptoms? I would definitely say that she isn't feeling well but as clamped fins can be caused by many different things it would be impossible to diagnose from a picture. You need to test your water...if you don't have a kit, many fish stores will do it for you (they also sell the kits, I'd recommend getting one if you can). In the meantime, I would try doing a 30% water change and see if her behavior changes. I hope this helps...

Ok, I'll do a water change right now (with aged water and purifier to kill off the bad stuff)

EDIT: I just did a Water change, and I don't think it was breathing heavily, but I'm starting to suspect Swim Bladder Problem.

If she was swimming normally before you brought her home, I wouldn't think that it would be SBD.

Ok, So i'm guessing my water's the problem, but i'm not satisfied with that because all my other fish is Perfectly Fine

Your other fish may have grown accustomed to your water conditions over time and are not as bothered by it. Has she perked up any since your water change?

Nope, No effect....Yet (i hope)

... Well she moved by a inch if that counts.

How long has your tank been set up?
Did you cycle the tank?
Do you have a liquid test kit? if so whats the readings of ammonia and nitrite..

The fish looks ill, fins clamped, dont just do a water change, do a very big waterchange, like 50%..
