Quite a while back i got 2 Green Sailfin Mollies. Sadly, 1 died but the other has been swimming around for some time now. Recently though, i have noticed it getting alot less active and fatter. (it usually floats in a corner). Could it be pregnant? I have a Baloon molly that hangs around with it, any ideas?

Thanks, Jon :hyper:

If you could post a picture of it, i would roughtly be able to tell you when it will drop (if its pregnant) :)

Tbh i've never kept mollies, although i have kept other livebearers, and i cannot tell from the picture but i think it may be a male, is it possible for a clearer picture?

Hard to tell by the pics, a side view would of been better

Has it got a gonopodium?

This is what i mean..

On a female, there is a fin here (anal fin) instead of a backwards pointing (gonopodium) penis in other words lol.

Yeah sorry piccies are hard to take :( How can i tell if its male or female?

looks like a male molly to me too but pics hard to tell, also i find male mollies tend to have more spectacular dorsal fins like ur pic

This will help you to see better between male and female m8..

Hmm probably is a male lol, but it seems to have slimmed down now, what could it have been? too much food?
