Is My Molly Pregnant?

I'd say both are pregnant. The silver more along then the black. :)

When you say she and the male Molly have been lying around...that kind of worries me. How big of a tank, what fish, and what are your current water stats?

My Stock is in my signature
I did a water change yesturday and the water stats are fine as usual.
Its a 27uk gallon/33 us gallon tank.
He is swimming around normally but goes over to the female every now and then and swims about her then leaves, no agressive behaviour, and i may of over exaggerated (lovely word) a bit by saying they are lying around as they are both swimming fine and are eating and pooping normaly.
Thanks for letting me know they are pregnant, how far gone would you say?

Oh, okay. I just wanted to make sure nothing is wrong because you don't want anything to get the mother very sick and then have her abort her fry or die. Everything sounds fine though. :)

I'd say maybe 2-3 weeks into it for the silver, 1-2 weeks for the black. And remember, Mollies can be pregnant for up to 6-8 weeks. So don't be very alarmed if they don't give birth in anotehr few weeks.

Ah, thats great news. Only seen fry once since i've had them all (2 months), and i guess i was lucky as i saw 4 and then the next min they had been eaten by the danios, so i hope the birth isnt during the night otherwise i wont see any of the fry.
Cheers for the info )

If you add in some thickish floating plants, the fry will stand a better chance of not being eaten. Mine hide a lot in my big bunch of water sprite. Also, if you have other thick plants, they'll head for those too. :)

Edit: I can't spell today. :(

Best thing I've ever seen for helping fry survive is Java Moss...just right for them to zip through, way too dense for larger fish to do it. $4 a handful at my LFS. And congrats! According to what's been said here then I've got a couple that are preggers...ACK! Ah the joys of fishy parenting....
