I have a female dalmation molly, I've had her for about four weeks now. She's about 6cm's (2.5"), is she big enough/old enough to be pregnant? She's started to get quite fat, not hugely so, but fatter than she was. Is she pregnant, or is she just putting on weight due to being able to get enough to eat?

she'll be Pregnant!!!!
They can breed very early but they dont get very big as the body's go to producing fry.

Molly's can mature at 3 montsh and start to produce fry soon after.

At 6cm is she mature then?

Am I going to have a tank full of fry in three weeks?

Well you may have a few ;)

Some times they hold on longer!!!!
But they dont what it easy for us.

livebearers produce less when they are less mature e.g when its about their 3-4th time pregnant they will produce more babies so if shes young yer she can be pregnant

anyway good luck on them :good:
