Is My Fish Up The Duff?

One of my fish is lookin fat, is it pregnant?

if so what do i do with it!

i notice mine was like that, because of the black spot. the fish is an egg laying fish and will most likely lay eggs on the the tank wall and may do so on a plant. you can either wait until it lays the eggs and then very carefull remove them (which i did, i used a ruler and a net to catch them).

or you could place her in a fry tank. until she lays the egss and then give her day to recover and place her back or raise the fry in a net breeder and once big enough put in main tank.


if you don't want to breed them either just remove them or leave them and leave it to surviour of the fittest, molstly only survive if a lot of hiding spaces and depending on other fish e.g. neons will eat them straight away.

I would like to breed them as they are cool fish is it best to put her and the other fish (They are a pair) in an isolation tank and wait for them to make babies? what do they need to help give the little fish the best chance? Thanks for the help by the way!
