i know this may sound daft but not sure if this pattern is fish sleeping
one of my small fancies and my two moors seem to find a spot this is usually in the corner or near the coral then they seem to just stay there and float the moor did it for three hours today when they do this it looks like they are dead or dying then the next minute there swimming round everything else seems fine they swim around ok eating fine looking well is this normal behavour there in a big coldwater tank lots of places to hide eating a good variety of food getting on ok with there tank mates
any help please

i find with both my tanks, if there a corner where its dark, like in mine where theres bogwood and heavy planting in a bit, a tierd fish will go there and sleep. then the next second they will be super active again.
as long as they are still healthy and eating fine then theres nothing to wory about

Agreed. It sounds like your fish are resting. All my fish go nose down and really still at lights out and I thought something was wrong with them first until someone mentioned fish need to sleep/rest as well as we do

oh thank you for your fast replys
i thought something was wrong the moor just lies there and the fancies goes nose down but like i say apart from that there are fine like you say one minute there sleeping the next there super active
thank you for putting my mind at rest

My coldies do this too. They hang out in a line in the same spot every evening, about 2 inches from the bottom. I assume they are just cuddled up resting.
