after i posted my pic of my new cichlid the other day and someone commented that it's belly looked sunken/depressed and it could have a internal problem, i have been keeping a close eye on him.

His belly looks kind of swollen/bulging at the front then it sinks as it gets back further more so then when i first got him.

He also seems to be always swimming about with a string of poo hanging out that is kind of like a sausage, as in it has a skin with a filling inside it, as when it hits a plant or something the contents comes out like a powder but leaves a empty skin still hanging from his bum.
here is a pic (best i could do).

I had two Ps. E. Mpanaga exactly the same strangely , someone suggested it was bloat and a 3xdosage of Octozin was the cure but I think it was an internal bacterial infection as the Octozin did nothing, Tanks a lot had something Similar and I think successfully treated with the Interpet treatment for Internal Bacterial Infections, I would try that and maybe isolate to a quarentine tank if poss.

Good Luck
