for the last couple of days, my female betta has been showing signs of possible illness. she still eats normally, but her dorsal and tail fins are sometimes clamped and there's a little haziness outlining her right eye.

anyone know if this is any cause for concern?

(all water stats are ok)

cloudy eye and clamped fins can both be signs of bacterial infection.

first make sure there is no parasite problems (check for tiny white spots & shine a torch on the fish and look for a gold shimmer) as clamped fins can be a sign of distress due to parasites too.

if there is no sign of these, then your best bet is to treat with anti internal bacteria meds. a light (1/2tsp per gal) does of salt (aquarium salt or 100%coarse rock salt only!) can be helpful in cases of cloudy eye too.

correct!!! im swaying towards the start of cloudy eye, in the uk we use myxazin to treat this
